![]() They still remain a cracking set of binoculars for bird watching. Can any help with the possible service and replacement of these please. Are the chunky rubber external parts around the EP glass likely to be removeable? If so how and could replacements be obtained? I know nothing at all about servicing or potentially dismantling binoculars, but I kind of guess that someone on SGL might. I was wondering if any one on SGL would know about the possibility of obtaining replacement eyepiece covers for binoculars like these. Subsequent use caused the rubber eye cups to disintegrate and in the finish I sliced them off with a craft knife. I got them from a agricultural show brand new about 25+ years ago when they were about £49. After years of use it may be necessary to replace them. I've owned these from new they are Inpro G/E Series Clear Vision system, 8 x 40WA 430ft at 1000 yards coated optics. Binocular eyecups are suffer constant wear-and-tear. I have realised lately how much astronomers are into binoculars and thought it might be worth me posting an enquiry about my ancient set of bird watching bins.
